What's New 🔥 Cavity Set Drop-In Anchor
09 October 2024The Cavity Set Drop-In Anchor features a slotted, tapered expansion sleeve and a serrated expansion cone in its design. When anchoring in hollow masonry with a maximum outer wall thickness of 35mm,drilling can cause spalling (blowback) that reduces the blockwork wall thickness for anchoring to 25mm or less. Traditional anchors often require greater substrate thickness for a secure fixture.
The Cavity Set Drop-In Anchor addresses this issue by tailoring the expansion sleeve length to be compatible with the outer wall thickness of most hollow block base materials.
The expansion sleeve is designed to minimise compression forces exerted on the base material during expansion. As the anchor is tightened, the specially tapered cone is drawn into the expansion sleeve, engaging a locking action against the hole walls.
Features:
- Reduced Embedment Depth: Specially designed anchor with low impact setting tool for shallow embedded applications such as hollow block.
- Compatibility: Once set, M10 internal thread suitable for metric screws and rods.
- Expansion Mechanism: Large load-bearing surface area on anchor reduces compression force when installed, minimising damage to the substrate.
- Pre-Set Depth: Designed to be set to a specific depth, ensuring consistent performance.
Applications:
- Hollow concrete block
- Hollow core pre-cast concrete
- Besser Block
- Electrical fittings
- Plumbing fittings
