NCC (National Code Compliant)
The Australian standard for Post-installed Fastenings to Concrete is here, and it’s the law to comply.
As a builder, contractor, designer or distributor, there is a collective legal obligation to abide by the Australian Standard, understand safety-critical applications and ensure the right fixing is being used.
DON’T RISK IT BY NOT COMPLYING
On May 1st 2019 the National Construction Code 2019 will reference the first ever Australian Standard (AS 5216:2018) for post-installed and cast-in fastenings to concrete, superseding SA TS 101:2015. Referenced in both NCC 2019 volume 1 & 2, complying with the Law for all safety-critical applications has never been more important. Always ask for code compliant solutions and sleep comfortably at night!
ICCONS understand that maintaining compliance with new standards can be a daunting task for many. With the release of AS 5216:2018 (Design of post-installed and cast-in fastenings in concrete) ICCONS has developed three new identification aids of compliance;
- A New “Australian Specific” NCC identification symbol. Look for the ICCONS NCC symbol of compliance and be confident your fasteners comply!
- ICCONS product selection chart making selecting the correct fastener easy!
- The stamp of compliance for all AS 5216:2018 compliant products, look for this symbol on the box!
